The Olympic Stadium (German: Olympiastadion) in Berlin, designed by German architect Werner March, was constructed between 1934 and 1936 for the 1936 Summer Olympics. It replaced the German Stadium designed by Werner’s father Otto March. It was being refurbished for the Football World Cup 2006 until mid-2004.
It is currently the home of Hertha BSC Berlin and Berlin Thunder, a NFL. The building of the stadium planned for 120.000 humans took only two years. The spielflaeche was set deeply into the soil inside, so that the stadium in relation exhibits a very small external height to its capacity. Today the olympia stadium is however only appropriate for approximately 80,000 humans. Regularly the soccer federal league crew of Hertha BSC Berlin delivers its heimspiele in the olympia stadium and the annual final games around the DFB cup of the ladies and gentlemen since here 1985 is delivered. Also the American football team of Berlin Thunder denies here its heimspiele in the NFL Europe . Additionally leichtathletik of matches are delivered like the annual ISTAF. On 4 December 2004 Berlin became the venue of the Leichtathletik world championship 2009 erkoren, which will be delivered in the olympia stadium. Occasionally the stadium is used also for large meetings without a sporty character as for instance church conferences or concerts.

Ajax Museum
A bit of a rip off. Displays different things from the history of Ajax but you have to be a big fan to think its worth you money and time. The stadium istelf is quite nice, though.
Sigourney says: The stadium is impressive, but the museum is just for real fans. I thought it was a rip-off.

Circus Maximus
Legend dictates that the Etruscan King Tarquinius (600 B.C.) ordered the institution of this track to organize boxing matches and chariot races. When the Romans threw off their Etruscan yoke, these sports kept their popularity. The circus, which originated as a circular field, was expanded on several occasions to become a huge stadium. Next to the races al kinds of spectacles were organized. This is also the site were most Christian martyrs slaughtered.
Today, next to nothing remains of the original stadium. It is a grass / dirt field used for dog walking, pick up soccer games, and drinking.
Museum fùr Kommunikation Berlin (Museum for Communication)
This magnificent building in Leipziger Straße has been extensively renovated and has re-opened in 2000. It contains the united collections from east and west. In the basement you can admire the Blue Mauritius and Bell’s first telephone. The architecture of this builing is worth a visit alone. Admission free
