This amusement park is located not far from the city centre in the harmonious surroundings of Plänterwald leisure area. In 1992, it was taken over in the meantime the area carried by the citizen of Berlin senate by a private operator company and resumed under the name Spreepark.It offers 30 carousels and other fairground rides, including the little Britzer train with its warning bell, big dippers and a big wheel with a fantastic view of Berlin. You can also visit the theme areas like “Las Vegas County” or see stage shows here. Main attraction was first of all at GDR times the 45 meters high ferris wheel. This had 36 cars at this time, in which altogether 216 persons could enjoy the view over Berlin. The Rathaus Schöneberg is the city hall for the Borough of Schöneberg in Berlin. It was constructed between 1911-1914 for Schöneberg, at that time an independent city not yet incorporated into Berlin. The Berlin exhibition of a larger collection owned by Mr. and Ms. Hoffmann, housed here since 1998 in its own specially restored building complex. The main focus is on West European and American art in various media. The exhibition covers Western European and North American works of art in the most different media, raises thereby however no musealen requirement, but shows, how one lives and works with and in contemporary art. The Zoologischer Garten Berlin (zoological garden Berlin) is one of the biggest zoos in Germany and the one with the largest number of species of the world.
