Friedrichshain Volkspark : Berlin

Volkspark Friedrichshain is perfect for relaxing after work or for chilling out at the weekend. The park offers variety at leisure and recovery possibilities. There are numerous liegewiesen, various playgrounds, e.g. the children’s playground “Indian village", three tennis places, a basketball place and a Halfpipe for Skater. At the swan pond is a check-out counter for most diverse leisure devices, e.g. Inline Skates, Tretautos or tennis racquets. Particularly in the summer there are numerous meetings, e.g. each Wednesday freilichtkino, in the park concerts at Whitsuntide and the choir celebration. In the winter against it the Rodelbahn and different embankments are in the hands of the winter sports friends.

Main attraction of the people park is the 1913 fairy tale well established by the advice of building of cities hoping man, which belongs to the most beautiful well plants of Berlin. Four wasserspiele terrassenfoermig put on are framed by impressing arcades. At the pond edge are set up sculptures, stone frogs and turtles as well as well-known figures from the fairy tales of the brothers Grimm.
